Locket Collection FAQ (Fingerprint FAQ & more Customer Service below⬇)


General Repairs/replacements after 30 days are subject to a minimum $30 fee. We are not responsible for lost locket contents.
     
What are the features of my locket? They slightly magnify/distort the look of contents inside; are made of recycled glass (you may see specks imperfections, blurriness); are double-sided & swivel so you can view from both sides. The space inside is flat, but objects may move around.

What special care is required? Do not get your locket wet & do remove it before sleep & exercise. It may break if dropped.

How do I open my locket? The swivel is the part that hangs on your chain. Then there's a nubby part below it - twist the nubby part. This is a screw & should be tightened periodically as movement can make it loose.

Fingerprint Designs FAQ

Ordering fingerprint jewelry implies that you've read, understand & agree with our customer service policies.

General We've made hundreds of these designs resulting in great customer satisfaction. Each handmade piece varies in such a way that artisan created products do. Most orders are done via mail kit & it works great!

What are these made of & how do I care for them? Sterling silver. Use a silver polishing cloth. Do not use silver cleaning/dipping solution.

How do I order? For web orders, we mail an easy kit to do impressions based on your design - use within 1 month to avoid re-ordering clay. A $30 deposit is required to hold appointments in Temecula.

How early should I order? At least 1 month in advance for web orders.

How old should me child be? We recommend 6 months old, but fingerprint ridges may be subtle regardless of age. Sometimes young children leave more of an impression & less/no ridges. We've had great success with prints, but occasionally there is someone with subtle ridges & we like to inform of this possibility.

What will my pendant look like?
It has a slightly rustic look. It will look similar to one you've seen or own, but not exactly. Print quality varies greatly. We send finished pieces that are within a normal range of quality including subtle prints. If we don't see a print, we'll give you the option to buy more clay ($15/print) before we work on your piece.

What is the refund policy? No refunds are issued during any phase of this process. Full price applies for 'do-over' requests. No exceptions.

How long does it take to get my finished prints? We ship 2 -3 weeks after receiving your impressions. Kit includes 1st class postage/packaging to return your impressions. You may rush ship at your expense. Rush fee applies to orders needed before their expected completion time.

Do you offer gift certificates? Yes. This is a better option than sending a kit as a gift due to the shelf life of our clay.

Do you sell kits? No. Customers who purchase a design & need a kit to do the impression receive a kit at no extra charge. We do not issue partial refunds for kits if you decide not to proceed after receiving your kit.

Customer Service/Shipping/Payments/Repair

Shipping U.S. orders via USPS: Fingerprint kits are mailed within 7 business days ($15). Other orders are shipped 7-10 business days ($7.50). Express delivery available upon request. 

Canadian orders: minimum $100 product purchase is required. An extra $10 shipping surcharge applies. Orders from other countries, contact us.

Returns/Exchanges (Non-Custom Items Only) Returns are done in the form of exchanges within 2 weeks of receiving your items if in their original condition. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Chargebacks for non-custom items result in 80% credit. No returns/exchanges for custom orders.

Repair Warranty
30-day repair warranty covers hardware, not covering soft features, (i.e. leather), natural bead variations & mistreated products. Time, labor & material fees apply for items you've owned longer than 30 days. Package your item carefully if mailing for repair. We are not responsible for insurance, return postage, additional repairs resulting from poor packaging or items lost en route. Contact us for the mailing address. 

Online Payment Security We use ndustry standard secure socket layer (SSL) technology to encrypt or "scramble" your information so that no one can read it while your transaction is being transmitted over the Internet.
