Locket Collection FAQ
General
These lockets are extremely durable, but should not be dropped to prevent the glass from breaking or falling out. Any lockets returned to us for any reason after 30 days of purchase are subject to full cost replacement.
Do the lockets magnify objects inside?
Slightly, and they also slightly distort the contents inside. They are made of recycled glass so you may also notice small imperfections such as slight blurriness or specks.
Can I wear my locket in the shower?
We recommend that you do not get your locket wet as moisture may get inside and cause over-tarnishing of objects inside.
Is this an everyday kind of piece?
Yes, these lockets can be dressed up or down, however, we recommend that you remove it when you are sleeping or doing exercise.
Can I open my locket?
Yes, you may open it by twisting the nubby part that sits directly above the locket. You can put other flat objects in your locket or nothing at all.

Ordering fingerprint jewelry implies that you have read and understand our general customer service information and these FAQs.
General info
We have made hundreds of these special pieces resulting in great customer satisfaction, frequent return customers and referrals. Your satisfaction is important to us and you will enjoy your end product knowing that each piece is handmade and varies in such a way that artisan created products do.
How far in advance should I order my kit?
Please give at least one month's leeway to process your order. This gives us time to send the kit for you to do the impressions, return them to us and for us to complete your design for final shipment. Contact us if you need a rush order. You should use your kit within a month of receiving it. The clay we send for impressions may need to be re-ordered if it's not used it in a timely manner.
How old does my child need to be?
We recommend at least six months old, but please keep in mind that fingerprint ridges may not be to your satisfaction no matter how old your child is. Fingerprint ridge quality greatly varies and is affected by many factors. Sometimes, young children leave more of an impression and less or no ridges. We do not create unnatural ridges. This being said, we have had great success with fingerprints, but occasionally there will be someone with subtle ridges and we like to inform of this possibility.
What will my pendant look like?
It will have a slightly rustic appearance. Your piece will not look exactly like one you may have seen in person, on this web site, or like one you already own, but will look similar. Print ridge depth, clarity and quality vary from one individual to another. We only send out finished pieces that fall within a normal range of quality prints. This includes pendants with subtle prints. If we do not notice a print upon receiving your impression, we will give you the option to pay $15 per print for another packet of clay before we proceed with completing your piece(s).
What is your refund policy?
No refunds are issued during any phase of this process. Full price applies for 'do-over' requests. If you change your mind about your order once you have paid, contact us asap AND before you open your clay and we may be able to exchange your order for something else.
Is the kit easy?
Very! No mixing or baking, nor do you need any materials of your own. The customer feedback has been, "It's easier than I thought!". Extra clay can be purchased for $15 plus ship/tax if you would like to re-attempt your fingerprints.
How long does it take to get my finished prints?
About 2 -3 weeks after we receive your impressions. Kits include packaging and 1st class postage to return your impressions to us. You may rush deliver at your own expense, but rush processing of orders must be pre-arranged if you need your finished order sooner.

When you place a web order, industry standard secure socket layer (SSL) technology is used to encrypt or "scramble" your information so that no one can read it while your transaction is being transmitted over the Internet.
Privacy
Your information is not provided, nor sold, to other parties. You may be contacted about changes, special offers or events. Contact Tina if you prefer to be omitted from these mailings.
Shipping
USPS Priority Mail is used for U.S. shipments. Fingerprint kits are mailed within 5 business days ($12). Other orders are shipped 7-10 business days ($7.50). Express delivery is available upon request. Shipping to non-U.S. addresses, including Canada, for phone orders only. Shipping cost will be determined by your order.

Returns/Exchanges (Non-Custom Orders Only)
For items purchased directly from Tina Steinberg, returns are done in the form of exchanges within 2 weeks of receiving your order for items in their original condition. Repair Warranty
30-day repair warranty covers hardware, not covering soft features, ( i.e. leather), natural bead variations and mistreated products. Time, labor and material fees are assessed for any items you have owned longer than 30 days. When mailing your item for repair, package your returned item carefully. You are responsible for insurance costs, return postage and additional repair related costs resulting from poor packaging. We are not responsible for products that are damaged or lost en route.
